Guided Tours

Our staff guided tours offer experiences that include up close and personal encounters with some of our diverse and fascinating species. Each tour is guided by one of our ambassador educators who will teach you about our animals, and offer up close interaction with our ambassador species. During the guided tour, you may be able to feed our 130-pound African-spurred tortoise, enter our free-flight aviary where you can hand feed our birds, interact with our diverse collection of reptiles, and enjoy meeting our furry mammals! With over 45 species of animals living at our facility, the experience guests gain at the Barn Nature Center promises to be fun, educational, and unlike any other. Everyone is welcome!

 

All guided tours are scheduled for Monday-Friday between 10am and 3pm and must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance. Please note, these hours are subject to change during the months of June, July and August due to our summer camp program. Guided Tours are $12 per person for an hour long tour with a minimum of 4 people ($48 minimum). Each additional person is $12. ​To ensure a smooth experience, please arrive no earlier than 5-10 minutes before your tour begins. Late arrivals will result in a shortened tour, as it will still end at the scheduled time.
