Workshops at the Barn Nature Center
We host our Workshops for children on days off from school, giving them something exciting and engaging to do. Our workshops provide unique learning experiences, including activities such as animal care, science experiments, exploring the great outdoors, team building, crafts, and more! Participants get to go behind the scenes and learn what it takes to become a professional animal caregiver at the Barn Nature Center! During all Workshops, students will assist our staff in performing daily animal care routines. Each workshop features interactive and experiential activities designed to engage students in the workshop's theme. We have both full-day and half-day workshops available for $100 per day, running from 9 am to 3 pm. The curriculum is geared for children in grades 1st through 6th. We recommend students bring a packed lunch (snack provided), a refillable water bottle, and closed-toe shoes!
