About Us
The Barn Nature Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping guests develop a deeper connection with wildlife and a greater appreciation for the vital role animals play in their natural ecosystems. Our ultimate goal is to bridge the gap between people, wildlife, and the environment—highlighting their interconnectedness and emphasizing that the loss of one has lasting impacts on the others. Our interactive exhibits showcase over 45 diverse species from around the world, fostering a mission to offer quality care to our animal ambassadors and deliver environmental and wildlife education to the public.

Beyond being an animal sanctuary, the Barn Nature Center offers a range of engaging activities for the community. From fun and educational parties, tours, camps, and workshops to Scout programs and outreach presentations, we provide experiential animal education opportunities. Visitors can touch, hold, feed, and meet our exotic animal ambassadors.

Conveniently located at the intersection of 611 and Almshouse Road in Doylestown, the Barn Nature Center is a sought-after destination for children's birthday parties, Scout trips, school groups, toddler classes, family outings, and special events. Since our opening in 2012, we have rescued numerous exotic companion animals and expanded our educational and recreational programming. We take pride in offering meaningful youth community service and internship opportunities.

As a non-profit organization, we rely on donations, visitor support, and program income to provide the best care for our animal friends. Come experience memorable encounters with our diverse and fascinating species, from feeding our 130-pound Sulcata Tortoise to entering a free flight aviary. With over 45 different species at our facility, a visit to the Barn Nature Center promises to be a unique, fun, and educational experience unlike any other!
