Our staff-guided tours take participants on a journey through our sanctuary, where they'll meet our diverse array of over 40 exotic animal species. From reptiles to invertebrates to mammals, each encounter offers hands-on interactions and fascinating insights into the animal kingdom. With interactive feeding sessions, animal handling opportunities, and a fun, educational presentation, every moment is filled with wonder and discovery.

We understand that every birthday celebration is unique, which is why we offer flexible party packages to suit your needs. Choose from a range of options based on the number of children attending and your desired party duration. Our packages include exclusive use of our spacious party room, complete with all the amenities you need to host a fantastic celebration. 

Add-On Options for Extra Fun

Make your child's birthday even more special with our selection of add-on options. Extend your party time in the party room, or opt for engaging craft activities facilitated by our staff. From paper plate snakes to beaded animal keychains, there's something for every young explorer to enjoy. Activities like Barn Nature Center Bingo adds a fun and educational twist to the festivities, with animal-themed bingo cards and quizzes.

Booking Your Party

Ready to plan the ultimate birthday bash at the Barn Nature Center? To book a Birthday Party, please fill our our Event Request Form and email it to our office team, ideally two months in advance of your requested date. Our team will provide you with a contract and waiver for your review and ensure everything is in place for a seamless celebration, after which point you'll submit a non-refundable deposit to secure your date. 

Our Party Packages

Adventure

This package is for 10 or less kids to have a 2 hour party that will include a 1 hour animal tour, and 1 hour use of the party room. One staff will lead your tour.

Base Price: $350

Explorers

This package is for 11-20 kids to have a 2 hour party that will include a 1 hour animal tour, and 1 hour use of the party room. Two staff will lead your tour.
 
Base Price: $450

Safari

This package is for 21-30 kids to have a 2.5 hour party that will include a 1 hour animal tour, and 1.5 hour use of the party room. Three staff will lead your tour.

Deluxe

This package is for 31-35 kids to have a 2.5 hour party that will include a 1 hour animal tour, and a 1.5 hour use of the party room. Four staff will lead your tour.

  • How do I book a party at the Barn Nature Center?
    Contact the Barn Nature Center Office team at barnnaturecenter@bncfoundation.org or via phone at 445-205-0793 to initiate the booking process.
  • How does the booking process work?
    You'll start by filling out an Event Request Form and sending that to our office team to get your date penciled in. After this, you'll receive a contract via email. You will sign the contract and send it back to us, at which point you can pay your deposit. Any changes to the party such as number of guests and add-ons must be made at least two weeks before the party date. Additionally, a waiver will be provided for all participating children, which can be signed before the party or upon arrival.
  • How far in advance should I book my party?
    We recommend booking at least 2 months in advance to secure your preferred date.
  • Can I change the party package after booking?
    Packages can be changed after booking, but changes must be finalized at least 2 weeks prior to the event date. Changes made after this point will incur a $50 late change fee.
  • What are your party availability hours?
    Parties can be hosted any time! Weekend parties are hosted on Friday evenings, Saturdays (morning, afternoon, or evening), and Sundays (morning, afternoon, or evening). Inquire about Weeknight parties Monday-Thursday. Our morning parties typically start between 10 and 11, afternoon parties between 12 and 1, and evening parties between 5 and 6. The exact timing can be flexible based on staffing!
  • Can I adjust the length of the party?
    Yes, time lengths are typically per our recommendation but can be decreased or increased upon request. Additional time can also be booked as an add-on.
  • Is there a deposit required?
    Yes, a non-refundable deposit of $50 is required to secure your spot. This deposit will be forfeited in case of cancellation, but with a month's notice, half the deposit may be transferred to a new date.
  • When is final payment due?
    Final payment is due 2 weeks prior to the event date, and can be paid via cash, check, Venmo, or credit card (with a 3.5% processing fee).
  • What happens if I need to make changes within 2 weeks of the event?
    Changes within 2 weeks may incur a $50 late booking change fee, in addition to the new package price, as we may need to adjust staffing accordingly.
  • When can the host family arrive?
    Host families may arrive up to 20 minutes prior to the party start time to set things up.
  • Can I bring my own decorations?
    Absolutely! Our party room does come pre-decorated with beautiful nature murals, life-size animal statues, and party banners, and we provide table cloths, cutlery, serving utensils, plates, bowls, and napkins. However, you're more than welcome to bring your own decorations, tablecloths, utensils, etc. if you desire.
  • What add-ons are available for birthday parties?
    We offer various add-ons to enhance your birthday party experience, including extra time in the party room, staff facilitation for activities, craft activities provided by BNC, Barn Nature Center Bingo, and party favors such as coloring books and bird feathers.
  • Can I bring in [my own craft/a piñata/face painters/princesses/other attractions]?
    Yes! Feel free to bring in your own crafts, piñatas, face painters, princesses, or other attractions. Just be sure to coordinate timing accordingly!
