Birthday Parties at the Barn Nature Center are an adventure your child will never forget. Our Parties are unlike any other. We offer animal interactions and education, a huge party room, and you can even add rock climbing and a game room! We have a few packages to choose from to make your party a special one. Below is a document describing everything you need to know about our parties, as well as an event request form for you to fill out and submit. Generally the parties are structured as follows; Animal tour (approximately an hour long), Party room (for anywhere from 30-60 minutes), Rock climbing/Game room if added on (for an hour). We are completely flexible with this order, if another is preferred. It is important to remember that a party rarely has all guests in attendance for the exact start of the party. This is why we plan for an hour of time for food, so that we can shave off time there if needed.
You are offered a flexible hour of time in our Party room. This is your time to shine and host your guests. We are always happy to help as you see fit, however all food and beverages are provided by you. We do provide paper products (plates, cups, napkins, utensils), Tablecloths, fridge/freezer, serving dishes, and decorations (“Happy Birthday” theme mixed with animal decorations). Since our room is separate from our animals, we have no restrictions on food/beverages brought in. We also have no restrictions on any decorations/themes that you would like to bring in to decorate with as well. We generally are able to offer up to a half hour of time prior to your party, for you to come in and get set up if necessary. Please coordinate this with your party planning contact!
The Animal Tour
Our staff guides guests throughout our nature center to meet our over 80 kinds of animal residents. Children get to learn about the animals they meet, and most animals will be touched, and some can even be held and fed! The tour takes approximately an hour, however, it can be shortened or lengthened as needed to flow the party correctly. Our staff are able to entertain children of any age with the facts they provide and how quickly it is moved along (for those with short attention spans!)
Rock Climbing/Game Room [CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE]
If you choose to add on this option, it adds an hour of time on to your party, as well as our add-on price. With this option, we offer the following:
Certified staff to belay any rock climbers up our 36-foot high rock wall
Assorted Balls, hula hoops and jump ropes
None of the games are coin operated! There are no tokens necessary! We have no weight/height/age restrictions on the people allowed to climb the rock wall. We are happy to harness up small children, even if they are only going to go up a few rocks!
This package is a 2 hour party and will include a 1 hour animal tour, and 1 hour use of the party room for 10 or less kids.

This package is a 2 hour party that will include a 1 hour animal tour, and 1 hour use of the party room for 11 -15 kids.

This package is a 2.5 hour party and will include a 1.5 hour animal tour, and 1 hour use of the party room for 16-20 kids.

This package is a 2.5 hour party and will include a 1.5 hour animal tour, and a 1 hour use of the party room for 21-25 kids.
Base Price: $400
Rock Climbing Add on: $175 with an additional hour [UNAVAILABLE]
Additional guests after 25 are $10/person with no rock and $15/person with rock.

BINGO Barn Nature Center Style! Barn Nature Center Bingo! (Staff facilitated, supplies provided, takes 30 minutes) = $50 Fun AND Educational! Our Bingo cards have our animal residents on them! Children can be quizzed on what and who they are and special facts about them that they just learned on the tour!
Barn Nature Center Coloring Book! These books were drawn, designed and written by the President of our Board of Directors! They incorporate past and current animal residents of the Barn Nature Center! Learn cool facts about each animal as you read the rhymes about them and be inspired by ecological quotes! (regular cost of $10 each) Less than 10 books = $9 each 11-20 books = $8 each 21-30 books = $7 each
Bird Feathers! Send your guests home with little tokens from the animals themselves! Feathers vary in cost and are subject to availability! Ask if you're interested! Some have even turned them into jewelry or trinkets!
Prefer to have your party at home? No worries! We can bring our animals to YOU for an up close and personal, fun, and educational Traveling Animal Presentation. Our traveling birthday presentations can be themed or custom designed to meet the specific interests of your party guests. Ready to Book??
The booking process: Once you are ready to book your party, please contact the Barn Nature Center Office team at firstname.lastname@example.org. We recommend booking 2 months in advance. We normally host parties on Friday evenings, Saturday mornings and afternoons, and Sunday mornings and afternoons. Other days of the week may certainly work, but we must ensure staff prior to booking. Upon booking your party you must submit a $50 non-refundable deposit. Once booked, you will be sent a contract via email. We ask for you to promptly return your signed contract. Your email will also include a waiver for you to look over. All guests with participating children must sign the waiver. The waiver is sent to you for your review ahead of time. You may choose to add waiver to your invitation, or you may have guests sign as they arrive. The Barn Nature Center does not need to receive them ahead of time. Once booked, it is highly important that we are notified if your party package size changes. Once we fall within two weeks of the party, changes to staff may prove difficult, and staff are dependent upon the number of children. All party size changes must be notified to us two weeks prior to the party date. After the two week mark packages can not be decreased , but can be increased if necessary by the party staff to cover additional children not previously accounted for.
**PLEASE NOTE: Price and package is determined by the number of participating children (infants do not generally count). Adults are not factored in prices and are not limited by the Barn Nature Center. The time lengths of the packages are our recommendation. They may be shortened at the clients discretion, however, shortening the party length does not reflect any change in the cost of the package.
